This multi-day backpacking trip was outstanding. So much so that I devoted a whole blog to it :-)
Like our first backpacking trip to Della Falls, it was also on Vancouver Island. Well, not strictly on the Island itself as the hike follows the coastline of Nootka Island, but we had to go to Vancouver Island (camping at Buttle Lake in Strathcona along the way, just like our holiday last year) to get to Nootka. Unlike last year’s holiday though, this was not car-camping: we had to carry everything on our backs. No popping in to Staples in Nanaimo to get another memory card for the camera. No outdoor shops to stock up on gas supplies.
Six days, four people and 37 or so km of beach…
