One last trip of 2008, one more snowshoe. Since we had been up to Mt Seymour a couple of weeks earlier, we opted for the Hollyburn access trail. The visibility was poor, and it only got worse. Still we had a pleasant wander through the trees in fresh snow. On reaching the start of the steep slog up towards the peak, we found ourselves in thick cloud (or fog) and with only 20 minutes or so of daylight left. We looked at each other and figured there was no point going on further. We retraced our steps back to the car, now in a misty gloom. Atmospheric, if nothing else :-) And as they say, a day in the mountains is always better than a day in the city.
