Mauna Kea, 29 Jun 2009

Woohoo! Finally, on my eighth trip to the JCMT I made it to the summit of Mauna Kea! Mauna Kea is the highest mountain on the Big Island of Hawaii at 13,796 feet or 4205 m above sea level. This is the highest altitude I’ve ever hiked (not that it was much of a hike from the telescope access road).
