Being Outdoors, April 2023

5 Apr 20234 Apr 2023 ~ AndyG ~ Leave a comment

And just like that, a quarter of the year has passed. We have our lighter evenings and longer days back and it feels so good! Okay, so it's not feeling any warmer yet but hopefully that will come soon enough. If we were being outdoors today, I'd say how I surprised myself by admitting I … Continue reading Being Outdoors, April 2023

A long weekend on Salt Spring Island offered up the pinkest of treats with more fairyslipper (calypso) orchids blooming than we've ever seen before. Absolutely stunning!
Looking forward to the summer hiking season and following the lifecycle of my favourite flowers, such as Western anemone, from pushing up through the snow to its fluffy finale.
